A proud West Virginian born and raised in the small town of Belle, Jason Williams starred for the DuPont Panthers alongside high school friend and teammate Randy Moss. He became the only player in DuPont history to reach 1,000 points and 500 assists and USA Today named Williams the West Virginia Player of the Year in 1994.

Upon graduation, Jason took his talents first to Marshall University and then the University of Florida before being drafted with the 7th overall pick in the 1998 NBA Draft.

Jason Williams’ flashy handles earned him the nickname “White Chocolate” along with a dedicated fan base across the globe. His unselfish style of play and humble personality earned him the respect of his teammates across his 13-year career in the NBA. 

Jason played 788 memorable games across the years for the Sacramento Kings, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, and Orlando Magic. His most cherished career moment was being a part of the Miami Heat’s “15 Strong” squad led by Shaquille O’Neal and Dwyane Wade in 2006 that won the franchise’s first NBA title in history. In 2011, Jason retired from the NBA and signed off on a star-studded career filled with unforgettable highlights that still entertain basketball fans to this day.

Today, Jason lives in Orlando, Florida with his wife, kids, and dogs. He’s still hooping of course.
